Welcome to Alyssa Olszewski, our newest writer at Aerys Soccer who will be covering MLS. Here’s her first post on Week 2’s San Jose-Houston match at AT&T Park in San Francisco:
Saturday was a wonderfully overcast, sometimes-rainy day in the beautiful city of San Francisco, where the San Jose Earthquakes hosted the Houston Dynamo at AT&T Park. For those who don’t know baseball, this is the home of the Giants and very emphatically not a soccer field!
To make the match even more interesting, the Quakes have a long history with the Dynamo, as the original Earthquakes franchise moved to Houston following the 2005 MLS season. As such, since the re-entry of San Jose to MLS, the two teams have multiple player and coach connections, and a bit of extra rivalry to boot. Continue

What a fantastic weekend for all Madridistas!
Let’s see, Barcelona lost yesterday to Osasuna giving us a 10 point lead. Obviously Barca didn’t play with enough inTENsity yesterday.
Meanwhile, Ronnie bagged a hat trick, making it the 4,000th goal scored at the Bernabéu!
